I am so proud to share this post! My incredible friend, Lindsay Albanese teamed up with MONROW, and created a capsule collection that is sophisticated, timeless, and CHIC! I’m fawning over every piece, but honestly, I wouldn’t have expected anything less from this triple threat! Lindsay is a style expert, the savviest entrepreneur I know, and THE highly revered ‘Stylist-Next-Door’.
So I quickly jumped at the opportunity to order early, as once the collection is sold out it’s sold out! If you know me than you know I love simplicity, my closet is mostly monochromatic (as seen here), and I choose comfort over trend. With this capsule collection though you don’t have to decide on one or the other, it’s the perfect medley of comfort, class, and eternal style. If I can make an outfit look elegant and trendy, than anyone can . . . and I say this as I type in sweatpants and a holey racerback 😉
I paired the Lindsay Albanese Roam Sweatshirt with an asymmetrical mini skirt, thigh high boots, and simple accessories. I love the juxtaposition between my messy high-bun and this streamlined look. I felt comfortable, sexy, and sassy!
Head over to MONROW and get in on the pieces! You’ll forever have something to wear to any occasion because each article can be dressed up or dressed down in an endless amount of ways!
How would you wear this collection? Do you enjoy a sleek, fluid kind of look, or is comfort and casual more your speed?
In most places around the country people are welcoming the Fall season with it’s fresh crisp air, leaves turning, and cozy weather. Here in Los Angeles we got a few days of cool-er weather but no leaves turning … hell, we got no leaves! We get the cozy weather symptoms but not the actual change in season, so wherever you are, I hope this season is a beautiful one for you!
Wether you’re in a colder place than L.A. or you live in a tropical place, with these Fall style inspirations you can layer them up and even dress them down. Here are my most favorite ways to style boots this Fall! From chic to casual, and somewhere in between, there’s something for everyone.
METALLIC MAMA!
There’s something magical about metallics! Corinne has these exact Wanted Angel Oxfords, in metallic silver and I swear every time she puts them on it’s like the Wizard of Oz except she’s the damn wizard. I love her style and 90% of what I wear or dream about wearing is inspired by my fashionista daughter. Chic, professional, and playful all in one outfit! White lacey socks, fancy pants that are high waisted and belted, a white ribboned button up, rose gold blazer, earrings to match, and a black crossbody.
ALL BLACK AND COGNAC!
There is a theme here 😉 Let me name something and I swear I’ll name everything! So if you know me than you know that black and grey make up about 99.9% of my wardrobe and I’m not even mad about it. Add some rich cognac colors and rose golds to the scene and baby you’re a firework. This outfit I wear (in variations) a LOT! DSW Crown Vintage Cognac boots, ripped black skinnies, loose fitting black tee, black moto jacket, aviators, cross body, some sparkle.
BOOTIE STRUTIN’ STYLE!
Get it … bootie … booty … I’m 4. So I’m still not over styling denim with all the things. If you’re in colder weather you can throw some additional layers on and still keep this sexy, simplistic little number in tact. These Guess Golda booties are the sexy version of a combat boot to me. Bringing back the all black and adding in some silver flare and sheer tights for fun. Blazer and clutch finish the look off with a bit of class … because we’re classy chicks.
Would you wear any of these styles? What’s your favorite way to style boots this season? Do you prefer booties or boooooots???
The 90’s are back in a BIG way babies! I know I’ve said that before in previous posts and in videos but it’s true! I’m sooo excited about it that I’m dedicating an entire post to the time in fashion when parachute pants, pointy bras, and pagers were the shit!
Denim on denim! Remember that one time Britney and Justin wore full out matching denim outfits to the AMAs?! Yes it was 2001 but still! Not that denim could ever be out of style, but when you see denim layered with sheer tights (minus the one pant leg rolled up), denim skirts paired with crop tops, and denim jackets complete with patches . . . you know that if they were out of style, they’re back! And don’t forget the overalls, just ummm not with one strap down 😉
Chokers! If I’d known that these chokers would be back I would’ve kept all 193 of the ones my sister and I had in high school! They were wayyy cooler than the ones you see today IMO. Now you’ll find them all fabrics, all colors, and the bolo is my personal favorite. Remember the plastic tattoo chokers that we’d stretch over our heads and sport every day? Ya those!
ALL the kicks! Doc Martens, Adidas, Puma, Chucks, high tops, all of ’em! The pink Docs are for Corinne because she has this exact pair and I keep telling her that she’s the coolest! The Adidas came in different colors, what was your favorite? I had the black and white ones and I have them now too, which feels silly like I’m in High School again but they’ve become cool again so there’s that. I had Converse too, but the Walmart kind. Being there were 3 of us and we all wanted starter jackets, track suits, and cool shoes, my parents opted for the less expensive options.
Instead we got starter jackets from teams we’d never heard of (like the Leprechauns), metallic felt pajamas, and knock off Converse- which much to our saddness, was NOT metallic and peeled easily. Thanks mom and dad, we contribute our resilience to our childhood and having to defend ourselves and our rando knock off jelly shoes.
They say that all trends come back into style, we rotate and recycle all things because that’s the way of fashion. So long as mismatched leg warmers, side ponies, and shoulder pads don’t come back, we’re all good!
What are some trends coming back into style that you’re loving?! Or hating?!

Fall fashion in L.A. looks a lot like summer fashion in L.A.! We’re spoiled in California with its sunny days and 85 degree conditions, so when it gets cooler than 75 we all freak out! Here are my some of my favorite fashion pieces of the season … and ahem Black Friday sale steals!!! Because, pictures or it didn’t happen!
One of my favorite looks the ‘casual chic’ look. I wear this out to run errands and trek around the town in. I paired these high-waisted vegan leather leggings with a wrap around crop top and one of my favorite pieces – this maxi blazer. Blazers just make any outfit feel a bit more dressed up, and in juxtaposition of that, I completed this outfit with these Nike Thea running shoes. I’ve been pairing these shoes with a bunch of different looks lately, the style of it make them feel more formal, and in this case they serve to dress down the look in a casual chic kind of way.
Here’s a front view of this outfit … I call this pose the ‘flailing bird’. I like to throw myself into awkward positions when I’m posing in public, just makes it more fun for me when people begin to stare! These sunglasses have been a summer favorite of mine and I plan on wearing them on through next summer! Another accessory I’ve loved through the seasons is this Michael Kors purse, it’s sleek and classic, and one of my favorite color combinations – navy blue and gold.
What’s a Fall look book without including the ever coveted over-the-knee boots?! Of course when these babies went on sale I had to have them! I have these boots in tan also, but black boots feel more sleek when paired with other solid colors. This look I wear out to lunch meetings and when I’m feeling fancy enough to show off some bare midriff!
This look could be more casual if you paired the outfit with some booties and swapped the vest for a cardigan. I love putting together high waisted shorts with crop tops, especially if they are asymmetrical. This crop top has a higher neck line so a simple silver necklace and cat eye sunnies were all the accessories it needed. Besides, this moto vest was a great accessory on its own with silver hardware, zippers, and front snaps. Scalloped shorts like these Nasty Gal ones are great for every shape and size trust me! I’m short and I felt like the shape of these were perfect and weren’t cut at unflattering angles. Sheer tights and these thigh high boots complete the look for a trendy and sexy ensemble!
I saved the best for last! Take this look out on a date night, a girls night out, or if you’re just feeling like your sexy self! This is a more daring look with some classy, and casual, flare to it; featuring a strappy cut out bralette and high waisted scuba leggings.
If this feels like it’s more skin than you’d like to bare, have no fear, I brought back the maxi blazer to calm the nerves. This knee length skinny scarf also adds to the modesty of the top, drawing the eye to the classiness of the bow and not the lines in the triangle top. These scuba leggings are also a great way to bare less yet be more bold, they’re high waisted and feature a double buckle that you often see in dress pants. A wonderful addition to this look which also carry out the casualness of it, are these faux leather loafers. Shoes really do set the tempo for a look. These more casual shoes dress the outfit down more than a pair of pumps would. Have fun with it though and if you love your pumps, wear them like no one is watching … or is that dancing? (both!)
I hope you enjoyed this Fall look book, these were some of the pieces I picked up after Black Friday last week and I just had to share! If you’d like to see this in moving form, check out the look book over on my YouTube channel where I twirl like nobody’s business!
